Gouache Painting Workshop
1. Make outer border using tape (to peel later for a cleaner outcome)
2. Paint Background using the majority colour (refer to picture)
3. Draw outlines of chosen composition (reference picture) using pencil/watercolour pencil.This teaches the importance of observational skills, balance, composition and attention to details.
4. Paint layer by layer, using darkest to lightest colours
This teaches colour theory, how to mix colours and learning colour relationship, light and dark hues.
5. Final detailing, polish darkest and lightest colours (important: highlights) This teaches study of light and shadows
6. Peel off tape (Satisfying process)
