Our Beginner Oil Painting Workshops consist of three sessions designed to introduce participants to the essential techniques and principles of oil painting. While the medium may seem daunting, it offers significant advantages that enhance artistic skills. Participants will learn about materials, tools, colour mixing, brushwork, layering, and blending—key techniques for creating depth and texture in their artwork.
By the end of three sessions, you'll not only have completed 1 painting but also a newfound confidence in your approach to oil painting! We’ll provide you with reference images, from still life to landscapes, to spark your creativity. Our friendly instructors will be there every step of the way, offering helpful feedback and personalised tips to support your artistic journey. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Participants are required to self-collect their painting in the studio one week after it has been left in the studio to fully dry. Due to limited storage space, collection will need to be done within one month from the workshop date. Any artworks left longer than that will be discarded.
